What water bears, Einstein, and you have in common.

Client: The Simons Foundation. Agency: Article Group

How do you make something as abstract as “scientific thinking” feel relatable to anyone? That was Simons’ brief for the launch film for their Science Sandbox initiative, and it was a tough one to crack.

One night in frustration, I mocked up an irreverent music video inspired by the French New Wave and starring… a tardigrade. (Or “water bear.”)

The agency and client loved it. National Geographic even screened it on the National Mall for the March for Science. Not bad for a microscopic mascot.
